Jiang-yu Lee (aka Jyanyu Wong

Henry's father, Jiang-yu, led to the most detailed portrayal of an adult in Digimon tamers. I don't feel that there's anything more to say about the drama between Jiang-yu and his son; the show has said all that needs to be said.

Jiang-yu and the other students who conducted research on the Digimon Project (aka The Wild Bunch) were created to be reminiscent of the Xerox Palo Alto team who created ALTO in the early 80s, and the people who created Tierra (the base model for Digimon in Digimon Tamers continuity) and also Alan Kay, who first conceptualized the portable interactive personal computer known as the Dynabook. (The "Arc" in Digimon Tamers is definitely inspired by "Dynabook".)

I saw a documentary about how the Hollywood movie "Twister" was based on a Japanese American professor and his young students, and their activities over 20 years ago. Perhaps this affected my image of "The Wild Bunch". Either way, I am envious of those passionate youths and their boundless dreams.
